I have no idea what's happening, but I know that I'm loving every second of it.

I wouldn't have imagined such lovely, heartwarming, wholesome ending for CSM... Man, what a good story to tell.
I'm feeling the urge to read it again.. I'll definitely read part 2 on jump+. And now I don't have much more excuses to not read fire punch.
The best part through the story I would think it is the fact fujimoto wants to talk about social constructions and in a way, idealism. Normally I don't associate topics like this to japan. BUT I'm discovering this social gaps in japanese society through some "millennials" artists that are willing to speak about this issues like KOHH (rapper) and now.... Fujimoto. I'm excited to see what the future holds to Nayuta and Denji, trying to succeed on her dream of social equality. It will probably blow up really bad, but I'm here for the rollercoaster of emotions that is CSM. I'm ready, bring it on fujimoto...
And now I fell comfortable to say it.
YES, I LOVE MAKIMA.
~~~~ and denji also 💛 I mean, he's easy top 3 best character arcs I've read in 2020. This guy just elevates and develops while still maintaining his personality in the best way possible. Again fujimoto, well done man... Well done.
Holly shit!
I have mixfeelings about this volume. It had an incredible start, i was grabbing my head in a 'OH MY GOD!!!!' way (and i did it a couple of times). But the last couple of chapter had so much randomness that made the fight difficult to follow.
It's not a bad volume by any means, it's just that it started as a five stars and in the last chapters kinda went down to a four starts.
Overall, can't wait for the next volume, this is still one of my favourite manga.
I really wish this series still had some comedy, or was painfully relatable, or was recognizable in any form. It feels like this series has a planned ending soon because everything is going to shit, big series-long conspiracies are being revealed, and most of this volume is just a mindless battle. Devils fighting each other, lots of incredibly detailed action scenes that are nearly indistinguishable from each other in a splatter of blood and gore. I can't tell if there's an actual story behind all of this, it just comes out of nowhere.
Chainsaw Man trata sobre estados que se adueñan (y utilizan) el miedo para crear un status quo en la sociedad, un método que claramente de les sale por la culata cuando, como gobierno, Japón pone a cargo de la fuerza policial a Makima. Los "demonios/diablos" son seres que pueden sentir y cambiar como todes les humanes, pero que terminan siendo marginalizados y estigmatizados para mantener la normalidad conveniente para la mayoría, frente a esto, Denji aparece como un híbrido que encarna un antihéroe. Como lectores, simpatizamos con Aki, el humano que quiere venganza, pero también con Denji, el híbrido que desea reencontrarse con su humanidad después que fuera la misma sociedad la que lo llevó a su límite y a su muerte.
Me encantó este manga, es cierto que el autor abusa de la adolescencia de Denji como un recurso para mostrar desnudos femeninos, pero también es cierto que el personaje principal va creciendo y dándose cuenta de cuáles son sus verdaderas metas y en qué desea enfocar su corazón. Todo esto mientras el sistema policial y el equilibrio tan bien pactado con los habitantes de Japón se vuelve cada vez más frágil. Me gustaron mucho los personajes y la forma en que maduraron, las relaciones que formaron entre ellos, por eso mismo hubiera deseado que cuando muriera alguno, se hubieran dado el tiempo necesario para vivir el luto. Aunque igual entiendo el ritmo rápido que querían darle a la historia, el cual siempre se mantuvo.
Me puso feliz la existencia de varias sáficas y la found family de aki, denji y power me sacó más de unas lágrimas. Tengo mucho más qué decir, pero creo que eso es lo principal. Lo pasé bien y me sorprendieron gratamente varios giros.
I don't know anymore.
This manga began as some weird shounen with a fucked up sense of humor and Fujimoto had it evolve into something far greater. It has the potential of being this generation's Devilman/NGE. Only, rather than being an edgy copy, Fujimoto has offered a work with identity and personality. Although the later example explored escapism, depression and other similar topics, here the manga leans more on lighter themes: motivation for instance, or selfishness. The will to live, the one to create and destroy, the motor behind our actions and the way they impact each other...
This is a weird fucking manga. And it keeps getting weirder. But I'm all here for it.
I will admit things are starting to piece together...at the end. Too late for me to turn around on this series, really. Overall, a 3/5.
