I think it's high time we started the game of who will be featured in the next book? I mean, obviously, it's a healthy and not-obsessive past time hobby. Right? *smiles innocently*

Nesta & Cassian? Honestly, my money's on them. Maas loves them and there were so many things left unfinished regarding their status. Plus, tell us they're mates already!!

Or Lucien and Elain and possibly Azriel? I cannot be the only one sensing something iffy about these three, like a pseudo-love-triangle thingy morphed with the free-will issue regarding mates.

Or, for goodness's sake, not so appealing but certainly plausible, Tamlin? The guy's a douche but even I have to admit his only fault was that his love was toxic. Maybe he changes his love. Maybe he finds his happiness.

Or or or, one of my personal faves, Hellion????? I mean, just imagine!

OR JURIAN AND DRAKON AND MYRIAM, GODS YES. That would be one hell of a prequel.

Or just Amren and Varian, in one of their vacations. The firedrake needs to find her hidden talent.

Or Kallias and Viviane. And how most likely Viviane will relentlessly ask to be made High Lady. Girl power FTW!

Or Eris's story, the one with his regrets and all that bullshit -- the prick managed to intrigue me.

OR MOR'S. This angel of Velaris that deserves so much love <3

Or Tarquuuuuin. He needs to find himself a chick ASAP.

Perhaps Jurian and Vassa!! (Can Vassa's curser be Koschei, the last piece of the death-gods Triumvirate?)

Or the Bone Carver's vision coming to life. That would be amazing. But I'm pretty sure SJM is saving that for last.

Let's be honest here, though -- I'll devour the most basic of scenes with these characters. Them going shopping or getting drunk or training or bickering. I'll gobble it up in 2 seconds.

So yeah -- HOLY SHIT THE POSSIBILITIES.

i have decided in retrospect while i don’t think the new covers fit this series, the design is actually nice. and the artist definitely shouldn’t be harassed by ppl for doing her job 👌🏻

We have a cover and it's totally not what I expected it to be!
Mhmm... not sure if I love it or hate it! *lol*
I'm no huge fan of the colours that were used but I like the idea of the interwoven mask!
It's definitely something different than the usual covers though.

Let's see what 2021 will bring us!

So apparently 2021 is the year in which we'll find out in which kind of direction this next trilogy is heading.

Am I the only one who hopes this trilogy isn't all about Nesta?
I think it would be great if every book would focus on one side character from ACOTAR.
Not saying I want a Lucien and Az book.
BUT please could we get them anyway? *lol*

Also: Sarah changed her title logic and the "And" is missing! According to that logic I say the next books will be named:
"A Court of Crimson Fire - ACOCF" (Lucien's story)
"A Court of Obsidian Smoke - ACOOS" (Az's story) (especially like the double "O" *lol*)

Haha! I know this is a wild guess but *LOL* aren't we all craving books like that? ;-P
I'd definitely be ready to read one of those! XD

A Court of Silver Flames and...? What? Are we missing half the title? Or is there a mistake? Is it supposed to be "A Court of Silver and Flames"? What's going on here? Help? Please!

Well, and now the cover? Why are they trying to make this separate from the original trilogy? But still, keeping it a part of the series?
I have to say that I really feel for all the people who already own the trilogy and now want these books as well. And neither the title style nor the cover style will match the rest unless you buy the original trilogy in the new covers as well.
Honestly wish there was at least one edition done in the same cover style as the original trilogy.

Pre-Book thoughts

I have never liked Nesta. sorry not sorry. I didn’t like her much in the previous books but I acknowledge that her character does have potential for such depth



Some describe Nesta as ambitious and authoritative character but to me she was very selfish, cold, and distant. She did nothing to help Feyre provide for their family and spent the money Freye earned on frivolous items. THEN in fey world goes on whole refusing to train/ help others but demanding they protect ONE of her sisters?! *fuck off*

Just the idea of a sister knowingly fucking over another in how she treated Freyre as human for YEARS ... it actually hurts my heart a little bit .... that kinda selfishness



But Cassian liking her will probably MAKE me like her more *god i hope so cuz he deserves the best* I just sick of Nesta's unrelenting nastiness while also hoping she resolves her trauma and that Cassian finds the happiness he deserves

Wish list
It’d be kinda cool to find out that she was doing something —sacrificing— to help the family that Freyre never knew back when they were humans behind the wall

She just needs SOME redeeming quality for all the times she constantly bitching and lashing out at everyone. Some reason for why the whole Cassian ignoring thing and treating her sis Feyre like dirt *shaking my fucking head* Also generally she way 2 protective and angry towards people for there not to be some sorta backstory or event behind it hahah

Cover: ehhh I not really a fan of this style... also don’t think it really suited for Cassian with the hardcore Autumn court theme and colors. This just seems like such a let-down and step-down compared to the artful creativity and beauty of Crescent City *frowny face*

So they decided not to publish this on my birthday and push it a few weeks forward which is Okay.

BUT WHY DOES THAT COVER LOOK LIKE IT WAS DESIGNED ON PAINT IN SOMEONE'S FREE TIME??

➼Snarling, growling and purring! Males and mates and scents!
➼Ambiguous tanness passed off as diversity! Throwaway LGBT characters wandering around in the background!
➼Boatloads of horribly abused Illyrian women -sorry, FEMALES- who exist to prove to Nesta that she should be grateful 1) to be part of Feminist King Rhysand's Woke-Ass Circle and 2) that Cassian relentlessly pursues her in spite of her telling him to stop repeatedly!
➼PTSD that mostly has to do with waifish weight loss and magically disappears as soon as it's convenient!
➼Endless flirtatious hate-banter where Cassian ignores Nesta's blatant disinterest and boundaries until finally she caves in! Ah, romance!
➼Sex scenes with avalanches and lighting and other environmental hazards and HOPEFULLY a few more galaxy-brain metaphors like "velvet-wrapped steel!" Come on, Sarah J, don't let me down... I need this.
